Republican Governor Scott Walker holds a five-point lead over challenger Tom Barrett, in the first poll released since Barrett won the Democratic nomination on Tuesday.
Rasmussen Reports surveyed 500 likely Wisconsin voters from across the states and 50 percent of prefer Walker, with 45 percent supporting Barrett.
Two percent prefer some other candidate and another 2 percent are undecided.
The voters were surveyed on Wednesday and the results released on Thursday.
The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points.
Wisconsin's recall elections are set for June 5.
