Bark and Wine event grows in popularity

MADISON (WKOW) -- The 10th annual Bark and Wine event got underway Saturday. The Dane County Humane Society says this is the best turnout they've had in the event's history.

Bark and Wine is held at the shelter so people can meet some of their animals at the fundraiser.

"Being a private, non-profit organization, these fundraisers are so beneficial in helping people know their donation and their support helps directly each of these animals that they see," said Dane County Humane Society Public Relations Coordinator Gayle Viney.

Viney says they expected about 400 people at the party and they hope to raise $60,000.
