MADISON (WKOW) -- The public will get a chance to sound off on state environmental officials' draft plan for land along the Wolf River later this month.
The Department of Natural Resources has proposed a management plan for public properties along the river between the Shawano Dam and Lake Poygan.
It emphasizes outdoor activities. It also calls for protecting walleye and sturgeon spawning areas.
The DNR has scheduled public meetings for May 23 at the Navarino Natural Center in Shiocton and for May 31 at Mosquito Hill Nature Center in New London.
