SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- When the 8 1/2 hour Big 8 Conference track and field championships finally came to its conclusion, the Sun Prairie girls were crowned champs for the fourth year in a row, and Janesville Craig winning on the boys side. Rain moved through Sun Prairie in the early evening hours, but the precipitation fell during the scheduled break, only delaying competition about 10 minutes.
