Officers get ready for Dogs on the Square

MADISON (WKOW) -- Dozens of dogs and their families will be out this Sunday for an event aimed at helping the Madison Police Department's K9 and Mounted Police units.

The second annual Dogs on the Square will be held at the Capitol Square on Sunday, May 20 from noon to 3:00 p.m.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and money to buy police K9s, support their care, plus purchase training equipment and specially-equipped K9 squads.
