Middleton wins Big 8 golf meet

EVANSVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Middleton boys golf team took care of business Thursday winning the Big 8 conference meet at Evansville Golf Club. 

The Cardinals were led by Mitch Johnson, who also took medalist honors with a 75.

Verona finished in 2nd place, 7 strokes behind the Cardinals, followed by 3rd place Madison Memorial.

Individually, Johnson won, followed by Verona's Matt Opsal who carded a 77. Middleton's Mike Wiebe shot a 79 along with Sun Prairie's Nick Kress.
