MADISON (WKOW) -- Over the past 12 weeks, 27 News has been following nine women on their journey to better heart health.
Thursday, hundreds of people got together to honor them.
Anchor Amber Noggle served as the Master of Ceremonies for the annual Go Red for Women luncheon at Monona Terrace.
The women talked about the challenges they have faced over the course of the last few months, and the transformations they've made.
For many, they lowered their risk factors for heart disease, and gained some confidence along the way.
Attendees also heard stories of how heart disease has taken lives of many women.
But there were also some incredible stories of survival.
WKOW is a proud sponsor of the event for the American Heart Association.
