
META, Mo. (WKOW) -- A pet food company is expanding its recall of dog food sold in Wisconsin and 12 other states.
It applies to Diamond Naturals Small Breed Adult Dog Lamb & Rice Formula dry dog food manufactured on Aug. 26, 2011.
Diamond Pet Foods says the food may have been exposed to salmonella.
It was sold as samples and in six- and 18-pound bags.
The company says there are no reports of any illnesses among dogs or people who handled the food.
The product was distributed in Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin.
Diamond Pet Foods' voluntary recalls earlier this spring included batches of Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul Adult Light Formula and Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal & Rice.
The latest recall covers the following production codes and best-before dates:
