
MADISON (WKOW) -- When the weather warms up thousands of people from Wisconsin head to the lakes and rivers for summer fun. Agencies from around Wisconsin are teaming up to kick-off National Safe Boating Week.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the fire departments from Madison, McFarland, Maple Bluff and Middleton will be participating in the event Saturday.
Saturday's schedule for safe boating starts at 8:00 a.m. at Babcock Park boat landing. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Olin Park and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Warner Park.
Experts will be available to discuss boater safety.
