EPA approves new bed bug killers

Posted:
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKOW) -

The Environmental Protection Agency has issued registrations for two new products designed to kill bed bugs.

Both contain Neem oil, which is made from Neem trees found in Southeast Asia and Africa.

The EPA says the preparations are non-toxic and have a long history of safe use in other applications.

Cold Pressed Neem Oil is pressed directly from seeds of the Neem tree. The oil contains various compounds that have insecticidal and medicinal properties. It is also used in making shampoos, toothpaste, soaps and cosmetics.
