MADISON (WKOW) -- If you've taken a look at your backyard ahead of summer and thought you need a jump start on gardening, you're not alone.
Sunday morning on Wake Up Wisconsin Weekend, Doug Soldat, UW Extension Turf Grass Specialist joined us to share how you can keep your lawn looking good without the use of pesticides.
Soldat says some of the weeds may be coming out a lot earlier than we'd expect. He says the best way to control weeds and give your grass a chance to thrive is to add compost.
