MADISON (WKOW) -- Monday is Memorial Day. It's a time to honor and remember all of our fallen men and women who've lost their lives fighting bravely for our country. It's also a time to remember and honor our veterans that are with us every day.

On Wake Up Wisconsin, John Scocos, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs talks about the importance of honoring our veterans. As well as, how this year is being called, "The Year of the Veteran."
