MADISON (WKOW) -- Have you ever heard of stand up paddle boarding?

Going by Lake Wingra, you've probably seen people trying this out.

Many people will soon be paddling for polar bears.

It's an event to raise funds for the Henry Vilas Zoo's future Arctic Passage Exhibit.

Gary Stone joined us Saturday morning on Wake Up Wisconsin to share more about the event.

It's happening June 9, July 28 and August 18.

50 percent of the money raised will go to the zoo.
