
MONTELLO (WKOW) -- Marquette County authorities say a 17-year-old girl died Sunday after an accident at the Montello granite quarry.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Office says they received a 911 call just before 10:15 a.m. Sunday, June 3.
Emergency crews arrived on scene within minutes and found vehicle tracks and tree damage at the quarry near the intersection of Park and Doty Street in Montello.
Officials say dive and rescue teams dove in the water to recover the vehicle. After more than 11 hours on scene, the vehicle was recovered and the driver was identified.
Authorities say 17-year-old Tori Cywin, of Westfield, was the only person in the car. She died at the scene.
Multiple emergency crews assisted with the search and recovery efforts.
Officials say this was Marquette County's fourth fatal crash of the year.
