Verona Hometown Days this weekend

VERONA (WKOW) -- A community celebration once in jeopardy will happen this weekend.

Verona Hometown Days is Thursday June 7 through Sunday June 10. It's an annual community celebration and fundraising event, funding many of Verona's local service groups.

When it was in jeopardy, Brad Zaugg, president of BRAVA Enterprises and long-time Verona resident, stepped up. BRAVA worked with the City of Verona, the Verona Chamber of Commerce, and many of the service groups involved in the event to come up with a plan to continue to fund the organizations.

This year's event will be similar to years past. It will include fireworks, a beer tent, bands and more. The annual community parade will be Sunday at noon and follow the same route as years past.
