UPDATE: Voting interrupted due to Highway 12 crash

SAUK COUNTY (WKOW) Town of Prairie Du Sac polling place was temporarily inaccessible due to a head-on crash just west of Prairie Du Sac.
 
Town Clerk Richard Noldin says he doesn't anticipate asking for an extension for polling places to remain open beyond 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night. In the morning, more than 200 voters had access to the polls.
 
Candidates may also ask for an extension, but as of noon no one had requested an extension.

SAUK COUNTY (WKOW) -- Officials reopened all lanes of Highway 12 around 11:40 a.m. Tuesday.

SAUK COUNTY (WKOW) -- Part of Highway 12 is closed due to a head-on crash just west of Prairie Du Sac.

The Sauk County dispatch center says around 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, the sheriff's department was called to Highway 12 for a head-on collision involving two cars. The dispatch center says four people have been injured.

The Sauk County Sheriff's Office is still on the scene investigating. In the meantime, Highway 12 between County Road PF and Sauk Prairie Road is closed. The sheriff's office said it may be closed for several hours.
