Five local baseball teams are headed to state

SAUK, Wis (WKOW) - Middleton beat Reedsburg 6-1 and then knocked off Waunakee 11-1 in a sectional final to advance to state. Middleton will face Hartford Union on Tuesday June 12th at 10 a.m. in a division one quarterfinal at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute.

Four other local teams also reached the state baseball tournament. In division one, Sun Prairie beat Fond du Lac and Oshkosh North on Thursday. The Cardinals advance to face Appleton North at 3 p.m. on Tuesday June 12th. Portage advances to state in division two. The Warriors defeated Richland Center and Lodi in sectionals. Portage will play Fox Valley Lutheran in a D2 state semifinal on Wednesday night June 13th at 6 p.m.

In division three, Orfordville Parkview beat Fennimore and Arcadia in sectionals to advance to state. Parkview will play Saint Mary Central on Wednesday June 13th at one o'clock. And finally in D4, Johnson Creek defeated Manitowoc Lutheran and Shullsburg/Benton in sectionals. Johnson Creek will play Greenwood in a D4 state semifinal on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.
