
SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- The Sun Prairie softball team earned a spot in the WIAA state tournament for the first time since 2003 with its 4-3 win over La Crosse Central. With the game tied at 3 in the bottom of the 9th Kristen Hoppman's RBI hit, scoring Briana Peterson won the game for the Cardinals. Sun Prairie will play Franklin on Thursday the 14th at 1:30 pm in the D-1 State Quarterfinals.
