WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKOW) -- President Obama responded to criticism Monday that he didn't campaign for Tom Barrett during the recall process.
Obama says he supported the Milwaukee mayor, but he had other responsibilities to focus on as president.
"The broader principle is that we want an economy that is not focused on a few at the top, but is a broad-based economy that invests in our future, that makes sure we've got a strong education system, that is thinking about workers and their ability to pay their bills," says Obama.
The president also said he doesn't expect any broad political repercussions from Walker's victory last Tuesday.
