WAUNAKEE (WKOW) -- Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Eric Hovde released his economic plan Tuesday during a stop at Endres Manufacturing in Waunakee.
Hovde wants to lower the corporate tax rate to 25 percent and end corporate welfare.
"Why should giant businesses that buy off career politicians be able to be taxed at a fraction of what a business like we're standing at today is taxed at," Hovde said. "It's fundamentally wrong."
Other highlights of Hovde's plan include reforming the Federal Reserve and the financial services industry.
The other top Republicans in the race are former Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson, former Congressman Mark Neumann and Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald.
Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin is the only Democrat running.
