
MADISON (WKOW) -- A new poll released by Rasmussen Reports shows former Republican Governor Tommy Thompson with a commanding 16 point lead over Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-Madison) in the race for U.S. Senate.
However, Baldwin is in a dead heat with the three other GOP candidates.
The poll surveyed 500 likely Wisconsin voters on Tuesday, June 12.
Its shows Thompson with a commanding 52 percent - 36 percent lead over Baldwin.
Former Congressman Mark Neumann (R) holds just a 45 percent - 43 percent edge over Baldwin, while Madison millionaire investor Eric Hovde (R) has a 44 percent - 42 percent edge on the Congresswoman.
But, Tammy Baldwin leads Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon) 44 percent - 43 percent.
