
WASHINGTON (WKOW) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have announced a recall involving Kolcraft's Contours Options three-and-four-wheeled strollers.
The safety commission says about 36,000 strollers are being recalled in the U.S. and 270 in Canada due to fingertip amputation and laceration hazards.
Kolcraft and the safety commission received five reports of injuries involving the hinge mechanism, including reports of three children whose fingertips were amputated and two adults whose fingers were either smashed or cut.
This recalled have model numbers starting with ZL002, ZL005, ZL008, ZL015 and ZL018. The strollers were sold from January 2006 and June 2012 at juvenile product specialty stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Target.com and ToysRUs.com.
If you have one of the recalled items, you should stop using the product and contact the company for a free repair kit.
