UPDATE: Madison West soccer wins D-1 state title 1-0

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Madison West girls soccer team won the Division 1 state championship game with its 1-0 win over De Pere. The Regents' Rose Brown scored the game's only goal in the 48:53 mark. Madison West advanced to the championship, scoring on its only shot in both the quarterfinals and semifinals. The 2012 title is Madison West's first since 2000 and fifth in program history.

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Madison West girls soccer team advanced to the Division 1 state title game with its 1-0 win over Grafton in the semifinals on Friday night. The Regents' Emma Guilfoil scored on a deep kick 42:45 into the game. Guilfoil's shot the West's only shot of the night. Madison West will play De Pere for the state championship on Saturday at 2pm.
