"Make a Wish" for Marshall boy

MARSHALL (WKOW) -- It's a wish granted for a young boy from Marshall. Joshua Gruber enjoyed his very first pool party Saturday afternoon.

The 10-year-old has Mitochondrial disease, which is an energy disorder. Some of Joshua's doctors in Milwaukee decided to refer him to the "Make a Wish" foundation.

"They said, 'Josh, what would you like as a wish?' And he said, 'I want a pool like they have in hotels," Joshua's mom Kristen Gruber told 27 News.

Joshua's pool party included his brother, cousins and some classmates. His mom said he's been in the new, heated pool everyday for the past week.
