Madison woman bikes from NYC to Washington D.C. in honor of son

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison woman will bike, non-stop from New York City to Washington D.C.

Michelle Page-Alswager will participate in the first "Hope on 2 Wheels" bike ride to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

A group of 24 cyclists from around the U.S. will bike more than 250 miles. The bike event starts on June 23.

Michelle bikes in honor of her son, Jesse Alswager. Jesse died in 2010 from Type-1 Diabetes. He was 13 years old.
