MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Brewers announced Tyler Thornburg will get the start Tuesday night in place of the injured Shaun Marcum. Thornburg was brought up from AA Huntsville. Thornburg was the Brewers 3rd round pick in the 2010 Draft. In 13 starts this season in Huntsville, Thornburg is 8-1 with a 3.00 ERA.

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Brewers right-hander Shaun won't face his former team Tuesday as planned. He's been scratched from his start against the Blue Jays due to soreness in his right elbow.

The hope is that he'll just miss the one start.

Aided by a soft schedule of late, Marcum is 3-0 with a 2.30 ERA in his last four starts. He's 5-3 with a 3.39 ERA in 13 starts on the season.

Manager Ron Roenicke announced after Monday's game that Marcum will be replaced by a player from the minor leagues.
