
CLARK COUNTY (WKOW) -- Authorities have released the names of the three people who died in crashes in Clark County Thursday morning.
The victims were identified as 56-year-old Thomas Jurceka and 57-year-old Susan Jurceka of Milwaukee; and 24-year-old Mary Malinowski of Thorp.
Authorities say a pickup truck carrying the Jurceka's crashed into a large ravine after heavy rain washed away a 50-foot stretch of highway in rural Willard.
Malinowski's vehicle then crashed into the same gorge. All three were pronounced dead at the scene

CLARK COUNTY (WKOW) – Three people are dead after two vehicles crash into an area where the road appeared to have washed out by heavy rains in Clark County on early Thursday morning.
At about 1:35 a.m., the Clark CountySheriff's Department received a 911 call reporting two vehicles were located in the wash out on County Road M approximately one and a half miles north of County Road I.
The initial investigation found that a northbound truck with two victims crashed first into the wash out. It appears the second vehicle, with one victim, crashed in the same area. All three victims were pronounced dead on the scene by Clark County Coroner Richard Schleifer. Neither vehicle had additional passengers.
The Greenwood Fire and Ambulance, Marshfield Fire and Rescue and Spirit of Marshfield all assisted at the scene.
The Sheriff's department is continuing the investigation. Names are being withheld pending notification of family. No other information is available at this time. These are the first traffic fatalities in Clark County for 2012.
