NEW YORK, NY (WKOW) -- Famous author and filmmaker, Nora Ephron, has died.
The 71-year-old was suffering from leukemia.
Ephron wrote and directed such favorites as "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Julie & Julia."
She was born into a family of screenwriters and was considered a top journalist in her 20's and 30's, as a best-selling author and successful director.
Ephron is survived by her husband, Nicholas Pileggi, and two sons.
