12-year-old hurt in ATV crash

GREEN COUNTY (WKOW) -- A 12-year-old is injured in an ATV crash in Green County.
 
Just after 5:30 p.m. Monday, deputies were called to the tri-county ATV trail just west of Patterson Road in the Town of Monroe. They say Maya R. Hoefle, 12 of Loveland, Colorado, was going west on the trail when she lost control.
 
Hoefle went down a steep embankment, hitting several trees. She was thrown from the ATV and was injured. Rescue crews transported her to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room.
 
Deputies say Hoefle was wearing a helmet and eye protection.
