WAUWATOSA (WKOW) -- Wisconsin 1st District Rep. Paul Ryan is apparently still in the running for the GOP VP nomination.
Ryan was campaigning for the man he would join on the GOP ticket Tuesday in Wauwatosa.
Ryan didn't deny he was being seriously considered by the Mitt Romney campaign, but wouldn't talk much about it.
"I don't think it's helpful to the Romney campaign to fuel this speculation, and so I don't think it's in their interest to comment on these things. So I'm not," said Ryan.
About three weeks ago it was revealed that he was being vetted by the Romney campaign.
Governor Scott Walker didn't hesitate to promote Ryan as the two campaigned for Romney outside Milwaukee.
"What I like about the fact that Paul is even on that list, isn't just because he's from Wisconsin. It shows to me that people like Governor Romney are serious, not just about winning, but about governing," said Walker.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio and former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty are two other potential republican VP candidates who reportedly have been vetted by the Romney campaign.
