TOWN OF YORK (WKOW) -- A pedestrian is hit by a pick-up truck in Dane County.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office says around 10:00 Wednesday, they were called to State Highway 73 near York Center Road. Investigators say the pick-up truck was going south and was approaching a semi-tractor trailer coming the other way. As the pick-up passed the semi, the driver saw a pedestrian walking on the highway directly in front of him. Deputies say the driver took evasive action, but struck the pedestrian.
The person walking was taken by Med-Flight to UW Hospital with significant, but non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators would like to speak with the driver of the semi-tractor trailer about the crash. If that driver or anyone else has information about the accident, they're asked to call the Dane County Sheriff's Office tipster hotline at (608) 284-6900.
