Rock County confirms heat-related death

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Rock County Coroner confirmed an 83-year-old woman's death is heat-related.

Deputies responded to a home in Lima Township Thursday afternoon. The coroner's office is not expected to release her identity or details of the death until Friday.

One other death Thursday is also being investigated as "heat-related".

Another death earlier this week also appears to be linked to the extreme heat. Authorities are also looking at underlying conditions with heat likely contributing to the deaths.
