
MADISON (WKOW) -- Two Madison libraries reopened Friday after closing early Thursday, but one had to shut down early again.
The Sequoya Library closed early Thursday due to a loss of air conditioning. It reopened Friday with its normal hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Monroe Street Library branch shut down early Thursday because of high building temperatures. It reopened Friday but had to close at 3:45 p.m. because it lost air conditioning.
Repairs are scheduled for the early morning of Saturday, July 7. The city says it will announce on its website, Facebook and Twitter pages when the branch will reopen.

If you owe library items, they may be returned in the library's book drop or to any other area public library. Customers are encouraged to call an open library to renew items or with other library-related questions.
