Academy Award-winning actor Ernest Borgnine died of kidney failure Sunday in Los Angeles, at the age of 95.
Borgnine worked in films and television for more than six decades.
But people in Wiscosnin, especially Milwaukee, may have more memories of Borgnine in clown makeup.
The actor was a long-time fixture in Milwaukee's Great Circus Parade.
Borgnine was reportedly asked during an interview on The Tonight Show what he had left to do as an actor.
He responded, "I've never been a clown."
After hearing this, Circus Parade co-founder Ben Barkin called Borgnine, and the actor came for his first parade in 1972.
