MADISON (WKOW) -- The dry weather may be tough these days, but it's not stopping the Olbrich Home Garden Tour this weekend. You can see several different and beautiful gardens around our area this Friday, July 13 from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. As well as, Saturday, July 14 from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m.

This year, you can experience a world of garden wonders and peek into Madison's Highlands and surrounding areas. They include several historic properties that have been welcoming visitors for years. Some of the gardens feature colorful street-side gardens to be enjoyed by all who pass by.

Front yard gardens are all the rage; see how innovative garden designs and vibrant colors add curb appeal. Get ideas to make your garden more interesting for yourself and your neighbors. Talk with homeowners, landscape designers, Master Gardeners, and Olbrich volunteers, to find out how these ordinary yards were transformed into welcoming retreats!

If you're interested in going, tickets are $12 for Olbrich members and $14 for the public. They're available at Olbrich's Growing Gifts Shop through July 12. For day-of-tour tickets, go to the Tour Center at the Brittingham House, 6010 Old Sauk Road, Madison.

The Home Garden Tour ticket also includes a coupon for free admission for one person to Olbrich's Blooming Butterflies – up to a $5 value! For more information, you can go to http://olbrich.org/events/homegardentour.cfm
