RUTLAND (WKOW) -- Drought conditions fueled a grass fire in southern Dane County Saturday night, near the town of Rutland.
The fire is now out.
"We were paged a little before 6:00 p.m. When we arrived the grass fire was large and progressing very fast," said Leif Spilde, Assistant Chief of the Brooklyn Fire Department.
According to Assistant Chief Spilde, crews from multiple fire departments spent around three hours getting the flames under control.

Fire officials say the fire was about a mile long and a half-mile wide.
No one was hurt.
