Man cited for texting and driving after collision

MONORE (WKOW) –- A Madison man was cited for inattentive driving after he collided with a truck and trailer parked along the highway on Friday, injuring 3 people.

30 year-old Joshua Byer, was texting while driving eastbound on STH 11, when he collided with the truck and trailer operated by Cody Luck, 19, of Madison. The collision caused the truck and trailer to strike pedestrian, Allen Borntreger, 23, of Richland Center.

Borntreger and two passengers in Byer's vehicle, Abby Byer, 9, and Mckenize Byer, 12, sustained injuries and were transported by Green County EMS.

Byer's vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.
