Woman found stabbed to death in Greenfield

GREENFIELD (WKOW) – Police in the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield are investigating a fatal stabbing.

According to WISN-TV, investigators found a 37-yar-old woman dead at about 6 a.m. on Saturday with apparent stab wounds.

Assistant Police Chief Paul Schlecht said officers were called to the scene to do a welfare check.  Schlecht said a 38-year-old man was taken into custody.

The victim's name was not immediately released.
