Shawano County man dead after fire

BELLE PLAINE (WKOW) -- Shawano County authorities identify the man who died after being found in a burning trailer over the weekend.

Authorities say he is Daniel Richard Giese, 45, from the Town of Belle Plaine, Wisconsin.

The fire started around 3:15 Saturday morning. After firefighters doused the flames, they found Giese inside the trailer. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The fire and Giese's death are still under investigation.
