MADISON (WKOW) -- The Dane County Fair starts Wednesday, and the heat forced workers to adjust their schedules as they prepare for opening day.
Fair organizers let exhibitors check in earlier with their animals this year to avoid setting up during the hottest part of the day.
The heat changed the setup schedule at the carnival too. Workers did most of the labor-intensive work Monday night when it was cooler instead of Tuesday morning.
The Dane County Fair begins Wednesday and runs through Sunday. Daily admission costs $8 for anyone 12 and older and $3 for anyone between six to 11 years old.
