March to Dane County Fair for Military Appreciation Day

MADISON (WKOW) -- All Armed Forces personnel and their immediate family members will receive free admission to the Dane County Fair Thursday, July 19.

Everyone will receive a yellow ribbon at the gate and are welcome to attend the special flag raising ceremony at 11 a.m.

The special ceremony will be performed by the American Legion Post 59 of Stoughton.

In the Exhibition Hall, all Dane County Fair guests can check out the military displays and resource booths from organizations that support military overseas and at home.

There is a Red Cross Blood Drive in the Exhibition Hall from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

You can show your appreciation to the Armed Forces by making a card for a soldier.

Military families will want to be sure to join the Operation Homefront Party in the Exhibition Hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lots of fun activities for kids of all ages.

The Dane County Fair, July 18 to 22 at the Alliant Energy center is a fun summer event for your friends and family.
