MADISON (WKOW) -- Waunakee native Lizi Brooks had a three-shot lead heading into Wednesday's final round of the Madison All-City Women's golf tournament, a much bigger lead than she would need.
Brooks shot an even par 72 at Nakoma Golf Club on Wednesday to finish even on the 3-day tournament. She won by 10 strokes over second place Alyssa Elliott, a UW golfer.
"It feels good. It was my first time ever playing in the tournament, so it was exciting and I'm just happy to play with all these great women. After going to school and coming back, it's great to see all these familiar faces is nice. It really feels like home so it's good," said Brooks.
Brooks will be a sophomore this fall at Campbell University in North Carolina.
