BLACK RIVER FALLS (WKOW) -- The search continues for two men who escaped from a Black River Falls prison. Authorities now believe they could in Vernon County.

James Newman, 29, and James Misleveck, 18, escaped Tuesday night. Police say they've been on a crime spree ever since.

Friday, an anonymous caller said a black Chrysler Concorde police believe the pair had stolen was in Vernon County. Later, authorities received another call from a man who says he saw Misleveck.

The Vernon County Sheriff John Spears says officers from several departments searched the area, but the men are still on the loose.

BLACK RIVER FALLS (WKOW) -- Two prison escapees from Black River Falls Correctional Center are still on the loose. According to officials, they are in a stolen vehicle and could be anywhere.

The two men, 18-year-old James Misleveck and 29-year-old James Newman reportedly walked out of the correctional facility Tuesday night.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says the men then forced a woman to drive them in her car to Sparta. She was dropped off at a Kwik Trip and wasn't hurt.

Police say the inmates are now in a black Chrysler Concorde. They stole it Thursday morning in the Town of Clifton.
