MADISON (WKOW) -- Medical authorities confirm Dane County's first heat-related death of the summer.

The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office says a 73-year-old man died on July 5 at his Madison home.

Officials say the man lived in an apartment that had no air conditioning. The man was not living alone, and was discovered several hours after his death.

Officials say the man had other health concerns.

An autopsy was performed to confirm this heat-related death.
