CASCADE (WKOW) -- A 15 year old girl from this small Sheboygan County town returned home Monday night after being in the movie theatre next to the Colorado massacre.
Katie Trakel of Cascade was in the Denver area for a convention.
She said during a shooting scene in the movie, bullets started flying through the wall into their theater.
One hit her friend from Ohio.
'We just all looked at each other, and I was like we've got to get out of here because something's wrong. We were just really worried and still confused. So we ran out and actually his blood drops were on the stuff so we were sprinting out of the theater then and realized he was shot when he was starting to blackout in front of the theater," said Trakel.
Her friend was taken to the hospital, where she says he's doing well.
Trakel said reality is now starting to set in about what she witnessed.
