GRANT COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Grant County Sheriff's Office says officials are continuing to investigate the death of an 8-year-old boy who died by accidental gunshot.

Officials say Gavin Klenzman, of rural Cuba City, died on Friday, July 27.

According to investigators, three juvenile boys gained access to a firearm. While they were handling the gun, Gavin suffered a gunshot to the head.

The sheriff's office reminds everyone to make sure all firearms are locked up and not accessible to children.

GRANT COUNTY (WKOW) -- An 8-year-old is dead after police say he was accidentally shot with a gun.

The Grant County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident that occurred in the rural Kieler area on Jamestown township on Friday.

Officials say the child was pronounced dead shortly after they arrived on scene.
