
GREEN COUNTY (WKOW) – Deputies and the Green County EMS responded to a one vehicle crash early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded to the 900 block of East Old Highway Road in the Village of Browntown and the Town of Cadiz around 12:29 a.m.
Deputies said the driver and occupants fled the scene, but were located.
Upon investigation, officials said the vehicle operated by Lavelle T. Conner-Hatchet, 23-year-old of New Glarus, was heading eastbound on E. Old Highway Road when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve.
Deputies said the vehicle entered the ditch, struck a culvert and caused the vehicle to go airborne. The vehicle overturned while striking several trees and came to a rest on the driver's side.
Authorities said Connor-Hatchet sustained injuries and was treated at the Monroe ER. His seatbelt was used and the airbag did deploy.
Deputies identified a passenger as Toni B. Burke, 21-year-old of Monroe, who sustained injuries and was transported to Monroe ER. Authorities are not sure if she was wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities identified the other passenger as Kelsey A. Wuethrich, 21-year-old of rural Monroe. She sustained injuries, but refused treatment. Authorities are not sure if she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
Deputies said the vehicle sustained very severe damage and was towed from the scene.
Authorities said Connor-Hatchet was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated- Causing Injury 1st Offense. He was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Operating without a Valid Driver's License. He was released pending court. Wuethrich was cited for Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer and was also released.
