MADISON (WKOW) -- Police arrested two Madison men on multiple charges, including armed robbery. Dane County officials say they chased the suspects on foot after the suspects' get-a-way car crashed into another vehicle in the town of Dunn on Sunday.

At approximately 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, a Sheriff's deputy saw a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 51 near Bible Camp Road. Officials say one vehicle was stuck in the ditch, but the driver and his passenger were attempting to free the vehicle and leave the scene.

When the two male occupants, 17-year-old Dashun Williams and 25-year-old Pierre Williams, spotted the deputy they ran into a wooded area off U.S. Hwy. 51.

Officials soon had both men in custody after establishing a perimeter. During the search, Stoughton Police gave information that the two suspects had just committed a strong-armed robbery at the Wal-Mart in Stoughton.

In addition to numerous criminal charges from Stoughton Police, the Sheriff's Office is charging the driver, Dashun Williams with Criminal Obstructing and Hit and Run. He was also cited for Operating Left of Center, Operating While Suspended, Failure to Notify Police of an Accident and No Insurance. Pierre Williams was arrested for Criminal Obstructing and cited for Passenger Failure to Notify Police of an Accident.

Both suspects are being held in Dance County Jail at this time.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash, 41-year-old Clinton Northcutt of Stoughton, was not injured in the crash.
