MADISON (WKOW) -- Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Mark Neumann will roll into Madison on the Tea Party Express bus tour Wednesday evening.

Neumann and Tea Party Express officials will greet followers at the Coppertop Restaurant at 5501 Schroeder Road at 5:30 p.m.

The event is expected to last about 45 minutes.

The Tea Party Express is the nation's largest organized tea party group and endorsed Neumann in the GOP Senate primary race last week.

Neumann, a former Congressman, is running against former Governor Tommy Thompson, State Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald and hedge fund manager Eric Hovde.

The primary election is set for next Tuesday, August 14.

Capitol Bureau Chief Greg Neumann will be at the event and will have live reports on 27 News at 5 and 6.
