COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKOW) -- A 15-year-old had to be hospitalized after he collapsed following a four day Xbox gaming marathon.
Tyler Rigsby's mother says he only came out of his bedroom to grab some snacks and take a quick shower, according to a local TV news station, WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio. He was playing Modern Warfare 3 non-stop.
Rigsby was hospitalized after becoming severely dehydrated. He's expected to be okay, but his mom has taken away the Xbox. An emergency physician at Nationwide Children's Hospital recommends that gamers use common sense, like getting plenty of food and fluids, take breaks for physical activity and get some sleep.
